Kjeld Hermansen

Dr Hermansen graduated in medicine from Aarhus University in 1971 and became a Doctor of Medical Sciences in 1981. He is Head of Department, Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism, Aarhus University Hospital and Associate Professor in Endocrinology and Metabolism at Aarhus University. Dr. Hermansen was President of the Council of Nutrition, the Danish Diabetes Association 1993-2000, President of the Danish Endocrine Society from 1997-2000 and is member of the American Institute of Nutrition ( 1994- ), the National Danish Nutrition Council, Vice-president (2000-2001) and now Chairman (2001-2004) of the Diabetes and Nutrition Study Group (DNSG), European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD). Dr. Hermansen's research fields include Nutrition, Diabetes, clinical trials, pancreatic hormone secretion and molecular biology.
