Nutri Pharma has licensed its patented soy protein and fibre-based composition in the Nordic Region since 1989 under the brand name Nutrilett®. Used for weight reduction and maintenance, it is sold in pharmacies and supermarkets as powders for preparing various flavours of shake, and also as bars and savoury products.

Nutrilett® is distributed in the Nordic countries by Nutri Pharma’s partner, Collett Pharma, owned by Orkla. The market leader in Norway, Sweden and Finland, consumer sales of Nutrilett® of approximately USD 30 million per year, and consumption by millions of users demonstrates its effectiveness and safety.

As well as being the only patent-protected, soy-based, weight management product, Nutrilett® is unique in the sense that it probably is the best-documented low calorie weight management product available in the world. As many as 20 clinical trials in which the product and its effects have been proven and documented, have been published, many in peer reviewed medical journals and conducted at some of the most prestigious university hospitals in the Nordic countries, among them Karolinska in Stockholm, Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen and Ullevål in Oslo. More studies have been completed and accepted for publication from reputable institutions in the USA (on product branded as ScanDiet®).

This combination of patent-protection, clinical substantiation and proven safety in use, offers great opportunities for licensees and distributors. Nutri Pharma is currently seeking partners for distribution and marketing of Nutrilett® outside the Nordic countries and Russia/CIS. Such partners would ideally have a combination of:

• Distribution to mass-market channels and/or pharmacies, or via a direct marketing distribution network
